Summer School in Advanced Microscopy

Our third School on Advanced Microscopy (a five day course) welcomes PhD students and postdocs for a balanced mixture of lectures and practical sessions on a variety of conventional light- and EM microscopy techniques. Each day offers a balanced combination of lectures, moderated, in-depth discussions as well as practical sessions. During demos and hands-on trainings, participants will get the chance to work with the newest instrumentations on the market today. On top, all participants will get the chance to familiarize themselves with image processing packages such as ImageJ/FIJI. In fact, experts will share tips and tricks to adequately polish images for submission to peer-reviewed journals. Note that for practical reasons capacity will be limited to a maximum of ± 35 students.
